HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once you have chosen the service you require and completed the payment process, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your order along with all information on how to upload your content on our server. We will also request that you give us as much information as possible on how you want your music to sound like. We are good at what we do, but your input is key in order for us to deliver a great mix or master. Using other commercial recordings as an example is always a good thing!
UPLOADING CONTENT
Following receipt of your order, we will provide you with instructions on how to upload your content on our server. All content must be compressed into a single zip file per track/song. This means that if you want us to mix 3 songs with up to 24 tracks each, we will need you to upload a total of 3 zip files - one for each song. Each zip file must be named with the song’s title, or we won’t be able to figure out what’s going on!
Please, make sure that you export individual tracks from your DAW and make a note of the following:
-
•All tracks must start at the beginning of the song. Make sure that you export them correctly.
Every DAW out there has its own weird and wonderful way of exporting multi-track sessions: if
you don’t know how to do this, let us know and we will send you an easy to follow set of
instructions. Please don’t send us any DAW session files as we work only with individual audio
files.
-
•Please send us the tracks completely “dry” - without any compression, EQ, delays or reverb.
Also, please bypass all plug-ins before exporting your audio unless you have something very
specific in mind. If you want a specific effect to be applied to any of the tracks, tell us on the
comments’ form that you will receive following your order.
-
•Please name all individual tracks accordingly: i.e. “Kick”, “Snare”, “Bass”, “Guitar Verse”, “Guitar
Chorus”, etc. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Please, don’t send us stuff with names like
“unknown audio 7-01”: it really makes the process very slow and painful.
-
•If your DAW session has any midi tracks, please convert them to audio before sending them. If
you have a midi track that you feel we could improve, for instance by using sounds or samples
from our library or synth collection, do let us know and we will be happy to help you out. Though,
make sure that it starts at the beginning of the song like the rest of the audio tracks.
-
•Please, give us as much info about your song, tempo, style, kind of sound etc. and feel free to
send us a rough mix to give us an indication on how you want your song to sound like. You can
send us an MP3 via e-mail or simply upload it along with the rest of the individual tracks.
AUDIO FORMATS
We accept WAV or AIFF files at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz at 24 bit. We will accept files at 16 bit but we strongly recommend you use 24 bit. Any modern audio interface or DAW (Logic, ProTools etc.) is perfectly capable of recording at 24 bit. We will not take files at 88, 96 or 192 kHz: they are far too heavy for uploading and we strongly believe that there is no need for such high sampling rates. We will not take MP3 files or any other compressed audio format, regardless of its bit rate, because we won’t be able to deliver a great mix if only compressed audio is provided.
DELIVERY OF THE FINAL PRODUCT
Once your mix or master are ready, we will e-mail you an MP3. If you are happy with it, we will send you an e-mail with a link to download a CD-ready WAV file (44.1 kHz/16 bit), as well as a 320kb MP3 of the mix or master. If you are planning to master the content somewhere else, let us know and we will give you the file at 24 bit instead (your mastering engineer will prefer it to the 16 bit format). If you are not 100% happy with the final mix, we will allow for one change only. This means that you can send us an e-mail telling us what changes you would like us to make and we will make them. Any additional change after the one stipulated, will incur an extra charge of £50 per further session. The final product will remain on our server ready for download for 14 days. After 14 days, it will be automatically deleted.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Following completion of payment and once your music is uploaded on our server, we will assess if it is suitable for us to work with. If we find that the content is not of the basic quality that would enable us to give you a great mix or master, we will contact you and refund your payment in full through PayPal. We will endeavour to process your refund in the shortest possible time and PayPal refunds take up to 5 working days. Occasionally, you may want to cancel your order after you have placed it online. You can cancel your order but refunds will incur in a cancellation fee of 50% of the total purchase. Therefore, please make sure that you DO require our services before placing an order.
